I grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania, a small town on Lake Erie. After high school, I moved to Nashville to pursue a songwriting degree at Belmont University. I am currently performing at various writers rounds all around Nash and recently performed in my hometown accompanied by a local cover band, Frontier, for an amazing audience of 6000! it was such a great opportunity to experience the tremendous love and support for a hometown girl!  "Expect big things from MK...a very big crowd loved her!" Throughout my childhood, I listened to all types of genres, from Elvis and Billy Joel to Florence + The Machine and Evanescense. After heading off to Nash, I fell in love with country music and artists such as Chris Stapleton and Ella Langley. This array of genre influence has contribute to a unique soulful pop vibe with a country twist in my songwriting and artistry. I've been writing music since I was a little girl, and I have always seen music as an experience, defining each and every moment of our lives. I truly stepped into music and confirmed my purpose and passion during a high school talent show practice, my classmates starting singing the lyrics to a song I performed over a year ago, solidifying the fact that my music brought this experience to people that I had found in other artists I admired.

My next big project is finishing the complete album Spilled Years and bringing my music from writers rounds to the big stage!
